About the club:

Affiliated to: Japan Karate-do Shotorenmei(GB) & FEKO

The club trains in traditional shotokan karate-do, taught to a high standard by our two black belt instructors.

The name 'Shin Gi Tai' means 'Body Mind Spirit' and was chosen by Sensei Douglas to reflect some of the aims of the club;

• physical training to help fitness, flexibility and coordination
• thoughtful training to develop good technique
• developing the spirit and self confidence to tackle new challenges

The emphasis is upon character development and the preservation of a traditional way though effective self protection techniques are diligently practiced also. Although not sport-oriented, there are opportunities to compete for those interested.

Students of 16yrs and above are welcome.

Mondays 5.30pm – 7pm

Thursdays 5pm - 6.30pm
