Douglas Hunter: 3rd Dan
Began training in 1984, graded to Shodan with Masao Kawazoe sensei, Nidan and
Sandan with Shiro Asano Sensei. He also holds Dan grades in Busen Judo. He is
a Sport and Exercise Lecturer at Newcastle College. He has competed at international
level but has main interests in martial arts conditioning, cultural influences
on the martial arts and kata application.
Liz Petrie: 1st Dan
Began training (for the third time...) in 1998 and pretty much kept going until the present day, though moved around a fair bit and had the odd excursion e.g. into taekwondo when couldn't find a good shotokan club. Graded to shodan with WSKF (in Azerbaijan) in 2003.
